Community & Charity

Each year, Squiz allocates an amount of budget to delivering services to charitable organisations, at a discounted rate. We have helped many organisations raise their public profile in this way.

In addition, throughout the year Squiz participates in various charitable causes.

Pink Ribbon Morning Tea - October 2009

One in every nine Australian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer by the age of 85! This is a startling statistic and one that is definitely worth our support. The Cancer Council’s Pink Ribbon Day is a great cause and aims to help raise awareness about breast cancer, as well as raise funds towards research, education and patient support programs.

Jeans for Genes - August 2008

'Jeans for Genes' day raises much needed funds for the Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI) which is an independent organisation committed to unlocking the mysteries of disease including birth defects, cancer, and epilepsy. While scientists now have the basic outline of our genetic structure they don't yet know how all our genes interact, and there is plenty of work still to be done. This type of research benefits children around the world.

Loud Shirt Day - May 2007

Squiz joined in the Shepherd Centre 'Loud Shirt Day' which raised funds to provide speech therapy, audiological and other services to deaf and hearing-impaired children. The hope is that the children can develop spoken language to help them participate in their local community, school and the hearing world. Approximately 1 in 300 children in Australia are born deaf.
